About Gardening

Apart from sheds, concrete and installations, SGC LOVES GARDENING!

Over the years SGC have diversified and introduced a nursery and garden centre side to our business.

We stock quality plants. None of our plants are grown in any artificial environments making our plants healthy, happy and ready to plant in your garden.

More importantly, we recently also introduced the exciting and SIMPLY AMAZING VEGEPOD range of RAISED GARDEN BEDS to our product range.

REVOLUTIONARY GARDENING IS HERE!! Our aim is to grow food and herbs. Fresh food and herbs are becoming increasingly unaffordable for families – especially those with teenagers that like to eat healthy.

Also concerning these days are the hidden GMO’s (Genetically Modified Organisms) that take place within our fresh food industry! Do we really know where our food comes from today? Do we know how is it grown? In what conditions and what has been added to it? GMO’s are becoming increasingly scary and certainly the best remedy is to grow your own food as much as possible.

To complement our fascination of growing food in our VEGEPODS, and also with eating healthy, we’ve introduced the amazing range of KATEK organic growing mediums into our product base. Our KATEK potting mixes and fertilisers are available for pickup in store only. Katek Fertilizers Australia is family owned and made in Australia.

Katek Fertilizers Australia, believe healthy soil produces healthy plants. The Katek range of soil conditioners and fertilizers are based on composted poultry manure and are formulated to improve soil health and build soil fertility.

Katek products work within the soil, to improve the soil’s structure and stimulate biology, leaving plants that are healthier and more resistant to pests and disease. Katek’s unique composting process aims to maintain this rich biodiversity in each and every pellet. Katek uses a specialised manufacturing process where there is no heat processing involved like cooking, baking or steaming as in many other cheaper pelletised alternatives
